Our Success Stories.

District 109 Speech Tournament
“Adults fear public speaking more than death. One of the best ways to overcome this fear is to engage in public speaking as a youngster. The District Speech Tournament helps our children to gain confidence while practicing presentation skills. This event—supported by funding from the District 109 Education Foundation—helps develop a skill that will pay lifelong dividends.” Inna Kerrigan, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction

District 109 Solo and Ensemble Festival
“The Solo and Ensemble Festival was one of the highlights of the year for our students and their families. Over 200 students representing all six District 109 schools participated. The festival was made possible in part by a grant from the District 109 Education Foundation.”
Toni Slepak, Music Director
