Young Authors

The Illinois Young Authors Conference is sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Reading Council. The purpose of the program is to support classroom teachers in their efforts to improve students' writing and reading abilities. The program provides a forum in which students can engage in the process of authoring which involves the interrelationship of writing, reading, listening, and sharing. Manuscripts must be submitted as prescribed by the program guidelines.
