CHILD FIND SCREENINGS

Deerfield Public Schools District 109 participates in an ongoing process of locating, identifying, and evaluating preschool children ages three, four, and five, who may show delays in one or more of the following areas:
- Cognitive Development
- Social, Emotional, or Behavioral Skills
- Speech-Language
- Fine or Gross Motor Development
- Pre-academic Skills
- Vision or Hearing
If you are unsure if your child is meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones it may be helpful to discuss this with your child's preschool teacher and/or pediatrician.

Child and Family Connections

If your child is younger than 2 years 9 months, we recommend contacting Child and Family Connections, Lake County's Early Intervention program. Early intervention is a system of services that helps babies and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
