What Is Test To Stay?
Test To Stay is a program supported by the Lake County Health Department that allows us to keep more students in school. This only applies to students that are deemed to be close contacts of a positive case in a school setting that were:
1) Do not show any symptoms of illness
2) Consistently wearing a properly fitting mask
In the 2020-2021 school year, students falling into this category would have had to quarantine. With the Test to Stay protocol, they are allowed to remain in school as long as they do not show symptoms and agree to be tested on Days 1, 3, 5, and 7 after possible infection (for unvaccinated individuals) and/or Days 3 & 5 (for vaccinated individuals).
