We regard people as the single most important asset of our educational system. The Department for Human Resources is proactive in its relationship with all stakeholders who influence the lives of our students and we seek to enhance organizational performance in its relationship with them. We strive to identify new and innovative methods to improve the quantitative, calculative, and strategic aspects of relationship building in a systemic manner. To that end, identifying and then further developing top talent is rightly worthy of the time and investment we give it. However, it’s not just about spotting the talent within, it’s also about keeping a keen eye on talent from outside our educational system as well. We are excited that you have arrived on our virtual doorstep!

I feel lucky every day to come to work in a job where I feel like I can impact kids in a really positive way, where I work with a community who cares deeply about the growth of their kids, and with the most dedicated, caring teachers in the world.

Why 109?

DEI Embedded Within the Department's MissionThrough the Lens of Human Resources...

  • Wilmot Principal and four other staff members working on a task for professional development

Diversity represents the rich tapestry of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that make our organization unique. It's about appreciating the differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and every other facet of our identities. It's about recognizing that these differences are not weaknesses, but strengths that enrich our lives and make us stronger together.

  • Equity goes beyond mere representation within the organization. It means ensuring that everyone has equal access to opportunities and resources, regardless of their background. It means removing systemic barriers that prevent certain groups from reaching their full potential. It means creating a level playing field where everyone can thrive.

  • Inclusion is about creating a sense of belonging for everyone within our organization. It means actively inviting and embracing people from all walks of life. It means ensuring that everyone feels valued, respected, and heard. It means creating a safe space where everyone can be their authentic selves.
