Registration for this current school year (2024-2025) is open. Full-day kindergarten is available at each elementary school and provides students with greater learning opportunities. Kindergarten students attend from 8:40am - 3:25pm. All incoming kindergartners need to complete the registration process below. Please follow these instructions whether you are a current parent in District 109 or if this is your first time registering a student with the district. Please reference our boundary map to ensure you are eligible to register; we cannot consider requests for enrollment from out-of-district residents. You can reference our boundary map here
*Note: Early Learner's Pre-K students ARE required to register for Kindergarten.
Please follow these few steps to enroll your student.
1. Complete an online enrollment application for EACH child
If you are new to District 109, please fill out our new online registration application here
If you are a current District 109 parent, log into Skyward using your Family Access login ID and password. Choose New Student Enrollment
2. Gather the FOUR (4) required documents:
Child's Original Birth Certificate (a copy will be made and the original returned to you)
One (1) document of proof of residency from this list below:
Current Property Tax Bill
Title or Warranty Deed
Lease signed by the lessee and the lessor, and proof of payment

You will receive a follow-up email with instructions to finalize your registration by our Registrar, Rosa Castillo (rcastillo@dps109.org).
To register a new student please follow the steps below. Please note that K-8 students currently enrolled are NOT required to re-register annually. Only students who reside within the District 109 boundaries are eligible to register; we cannot consider requests for enrollment from out-of-district residents. Students in grades K-8 shall attend the school designated for their attendance area. (Board Policy 7:30) Please use the district's boundary map here to confirm the school of enrollment for your home.
