Stempien's Science Sillyness!!

  • Welcome to Mr. Stempien's 7th Grade Science Class.  7th Grade Science is mainly a project based class, meaning that students conduct several projects throughout the year to demonstrate their understanding of the material.  Students will learn the content through a presentation, practice the material through a series of activities (Hands On, Web based, Readings, Webquests, etc.) and then complete a Design Challenge to demonstrate their understanding.  We cover topics such as Water, Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Sound and Light and Genetics.

CMS Career: Has taught Science to 6th and 7th grades over the past 15 years.

Availability: Stempien is available before school or after school until 3:15 except for Thursday mornings.  Please email him for an appointment if you would like to meet. 

Class System: Mr. Stempien uses Google Classroom to distribute projects, assignments, presentations, classwork and communicate with students.  Parents who have accepted the class invitation should receive a summary of things going on in class, as well as their child's status.

Keeping Informed: The Calendar page of this website will keep you informed of class assignments and activities.  Parents and students should also have discussions at home about what is going on in Science as well.
