Degrees and Certifications:
As a teacher in Deerfield 109 since the 2000-2001 school year, I have had many wonderful experiences. I have taught in the upper elementary grades, mostly 4th over the last decade, and the opportunity to teach 3rd grade began a new chapter in my career for the 2014-2015 school year. I was able to make the shift back to 5th grade after 16 years at Wilmot for the 2015-2016 school year. I'm very excited for this new challenge and to return to teaching the older elementary aged student. I am married to my wonderful husband, Rich and we have a thirteen year old daughter named Megan. We live in the rural town of Spring Grove, IL. I received my undergraduate degree from Purdue University in 1998, and began my teaching career in Waukegan Public Schools. I recently achieved my Master's Degree from National Louis University in Teaching, Learning and Assessment. This career has allowed me to follow my passion, continue to be a life-long learner, and positively impact the lives of my students. I'm proud to be a part of the Wilmot family and look forward to the opportunities that each new year brings.
