Welcome to Kindergarten

Starting kindergarten is an exciting milestone for children and families, and we are so happy to welcome you to Deerfield Public Schools District 109.

Kindergarten is a year full of growth, curiosity, and new friendships. Our dedicated staff create a safe, nurturing environment where students feel confident, supported, and ready to learn from day one.

This page is your go-to resource as you prepare for the year ahead. Here you will find key information about school hours, important dates, required forms, and helpful links to district resources. Whether you are new to D109 or returning with another child, we hope this helps make the transition to kindergarten smooth and positive.

Registering early helps District 109 plan staffing, classroom placements, and resources for the upcoming school year. Even if you are still deciding, completing registration now makes a big difference.

Only students who are fully registered will get an invitation to participate in Ready, Set, Kindergarten!
