I am so excited to join the Walden community. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating, I moved to Chicago and began my teaching career at a Catholic school in the city. I was there for two years before moving on to Pleasantdale Elementary in Burr Ridge. I taught 1st and 2nd grade for fifteen years. Three years ago, I became the math specialist and MTSS facilitator after creating the job as part of my graduate program. I have a masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Loyola University and Educational Leadership from Concordia University. I am a lifelong learner and can't wait to continue learning alongside the parents, students, and staff at Walden.
I live in Arlington Heights with my family. I am married with three children. Maggie is 13, Jack is 11, and Will is 9 years old. I enjoy reading, watching my kids in their activities, walking my dogs, cheering on the Huskers, fishing, and volunteering.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know each and every one of you.
