The Wilmot word: 3-6-20

Kindness and Community
This week was filled with many wonderful lessons and activities. By far the highlight of the week was the second annual Wilmot Caruso Classic staff volleyball game. Team Give did a great job organizing this amazing event which raised over $1,700 for a former Wilmot student recently involved in an accident. It was great to see students leading this special activity as they planned for the sale of tickets and concessions, and organized an awesome half time show and a special visit from the Wilmot Wolf! Even though we lost to Caruso everyone had a great time.

Complete Count Deerfield - 2020 Census:
Some Deerfield residents may be asking themselves, “Why participate in the 2020 Census?” A decennial Census is required by the U.S. Constitution and is conducted for an accurate and fair count of all persons living in the United States. The Census directly affects how billions of dollars in federal and state funding are allocated to state and local governments. Simply put, the more people counted, the more money allocated. Every person not counted means a loss of revenue for the next 10 years. Invitations to take the census questionnaire will arrive at most homes in mid-March.
