Chris Cybulski Named Shepard Principal

On July 12, the Board of Education Mr. Chris Cybulski as the new Shepard Middle School Principal, starting on Monday, July 16.

Mr. Cybulski comes to Shepard from George Washington Middle School in Lyons District 103, where he served as principal for two years. He brings broad and deep middle school experience. He has been a social studies teacher and athletics coach, assistant principal, and district director of assessments and data. Mr. Cybulski has been involved in leading a number of initiatives, including the launch of the middle school social emotional learning curriculum, implementation of one-to-one learning, and development of new enrichment and intervention opportunities.

Mr. Cybulski graduated from Miami University (Ohio). He earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Roosevelt University and is looking forward to pursuing doctoral studies. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, and his hobbies include running, traveling, listening to new music and mountain climbing.
